The "competition", from what we've been repeatedly informed, seem to be looking for 5% of a firms turnover in return for them becoming members of their franchise brand. At that point the solicitor then relinquishes his own branding in the hope the franchise can promote him in a stronger manner than he's able to do so himself. Which isn't such a bad idea as long as you don't subvert your brand in favour of their's.

The pricing has to be right, too. There's no point paying over thousands per month, in franchise fees, unless you're generating more as a consequence.

From what we've been told the QS firms are breaking even at the moment in terms of paying the franchise fees from the increased profits generated by being part of the brand. This may not be the case. The firms may be doing phenomenally well from the deal. They may not be. They may be tied in to long term contracts.

We propose a loose trading style where the key thing the client see's is your name and then registers that you're part of a National Law structure. We make our money via the £200 + VAT fee, part of which is used to fund the website hosting and support, and then we ask that we pick up any associated work you're able to point in our direction. We like to call it Quid Pro Quo.

In that way your success becomes our success.

In terms of ancilliary products we can provide property searches, ATE Insurance and marketing support on a PI or Conveyancing level. ie. we can help with your marketing activities as well as provide secondary services.

We're not looking to tie you into long, complicated, difficult to get out of deals. We'd love to have 5% of your turnover, each month, forwarded to us. We just don't think that's practical in todays marketplace.

Our message is a simple one. We want to profit from your future success. We want you to profit from an association with us. We can work with you on the further marketing of your firm but in the first instance we'll host your website, extend our brand to yours, and grow together.

Our pricing is based on a nominal sum per month, £200 + VAT by standing order, which we hope isn't to painful to cover. The worst case scenario, to justify matters in your own mind, is that you're having a punt on the concept and throwing us a few search or ATE instructions at the same time. We then review matters in 12 months time and see how both parties feel.

Our target market are small to medium sized firms who don't want to sell their soul's but do want a wider brand from which they can profit.
